5 GORGEOUS Traditional Dresses From Around The World

Every country has its unique charm in what it has to offer the world. It can come in the form of music, art, literature, food and many more areas.

Today we are going to show you the most stunning female attire from around the world. These ladies absolutely rock their traditional clothes with style and grace and we’d be liars if we claimed to not be a little envious of how amazingly Goddess-like these women look in their native clothing.

Quechua

Getting the party started at the Quecha folk from South American countries Peru, Ecuador, Chile Colombia, Argentina and Bolivia. Quechua clothing always dons a hat with a poncho, but not the clear ponchos you see people wearing at festivals, oh hell no sisters!

The sophisticated patters are mesmerising and the matching clothing families will make your heart melt.

Mushanana

Mushanana clothing

Not only is it a fun word to say, but it’s also jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Worn by women in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi this ceremonial dress is worn draped over the ladies’ shoulders, tight at the hips and is typically worn with a tank top.

Aside from Western Uganda these heavenly dresses are only worn on special occasions and ceremonies but we just had to share as it was love at first sight for us.

Dirndl

Dirndl

Originally the Dirndl was the clothes worn by alpine peasants in Germany, Bavaria, Austria and Switzerland and it is absolutely lovely. It’s simplistic, comfortable and pretty and it makes us want to book a flight to the next Oktoberfest so that we can wear one!

Sari

Colourful, stylist, elegant and beauty – that is what the sari exudes. It’s well-known for its popularity in India, where there seems to be a disparity of women being fashion-icon Goddesses but saris are also common in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

The sari is worn with figure-hugging petticoat called and in the modern Indian subcontinent, the sari is considered a cultural icon. Women from different regions wear subtly different patterns and they are all just so beautiful!

The Mighty Kilt!

kilt

No offence to any Scottish men out there. We know it’s not a dress! We just had to add you as a tongue-in-cheek entry because we find the kilt so incredibly sexy. 🙂
