We all have bad weeks. This has been one for me. I stayed up late working on Saturday, we had friends over for dinner on Sunday and Monday, and I had an event (with David Lebovitz for his new book, My Paris Kitchen!) on Tuesday. This meant there was no time for thinking ahead and preparing for lunches. Instead, I had to depend on the staples in my fridge—if you keep some basics like cheese, cured meats and a crudité or two, you can always throw together a quasi antipasti lunch and feel like you haven’t failed your kids!
