The Alton Brown Turkey Is The Ultimate Recipe, According to Another Food Network Star

How often do you get to cook a turkey to really be able to come up with a “favorite” method? Once a year, that’s how often. And by then you’re performing on one of the most important holiday feasts and hosting days of the year, when trying out a new recipe is a risky undertaking.

The solution? Ask someone who has done some serious taste-testing, preferably an experienced chef. Which is why we turned to Food Network star Melissa d’Arabian to hear what she had to say on the matter of roasting the perfect turkey.

“Well, here’s my secret: Alton Brown’s Roast Turkey,” says Melissa. “Trust this voice of experience! A couple Thanksgivings ago, I did a side-by-side comparison test. I made four turkeys (we have lots of family), so I decided to try out four different recipes/cooking methods. Alton’s was, without a doubt, the best by far. And yes, the brining is worth it!”

We think this turkey would go amazingly well with Melissa’s sweet potato beet hash…a cinch to make, after all that work on the turkey!
