America Ferrera, known for being in films such as Barbie and being a Golden Globes presenter, wore a gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana dress for the 2024 Golden Globes, and as if that wasn’t enough, she added some Harry Winston diamonds.

The Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton love story sounds so romantic (even if it might not have been in real life), and when you add this story about a diamond necklace to the legend, it becomes even more lovely.
The story goes that Elizabeth Taylor had seen a diamond that she wanted to wear – a 68-carat diamond, as it happens – and Richard Burton was determined to get it for her to wear to the Oscars in 1970. It took 24 hours and went to auction, where Richard Burton paid a record-breaking $1.1 million for it and beat Cartier to the final prize, but he did as he had promised and got it for his wife to wear.
One of the conditions of the sale was that the diamond had to go on public display before it could be worn, and there were long lines of people wanting to see it. Once it was in her hands, Elizabeth Taylor had it turned into a necklace and wore it with style to the Oscars.
Julianne Moore (Golden Globes 2024)
Julianne Moore word a wonderful red Bottega Veneta dress to the 2024 Golden Globes, and the outfit was so lovely that any jewellery would have been the icing on the cake, rather than anything extra special.
However, in her special style, Julianne Moore still managed to make her necklace the star of the show, which is a skill. It was by Cartier, and was a unique one-off piece made from yellow and white diamonds. To make it completely different, it also used small pieces of petrified wood and was designed to look like snake skin.
Celine Dion (Oscars 1998)
One piece of jewellery might come to mind when you think of Celine Dion, or at least when you think of what could be argued is her most famous song, “My Heart Will Go On”. That song is from the film Titanic, starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, and in that movie is a necklace called the Heart of the Ocean, made of a huge sapphire.
In a lovely – and now iconic – move, Celine Dion wore one of the three Heart of the Ocean necklaces that were made for the film. It was a 171-carat Ceylon sapphire necklace that Asprey created and that sold for $1.4 million just a few days before. One of the stipulations of the sale was that Celine Dion would wear it at the Oscars, and the money went to the Princes Diana Memorial Fund.
