We teamed up with Divalysscious Moms and Sophie and the City author Kelly Florio Kasouf for a day of kid-filled fun at the chicest shopping event of the season in the Hamptons
Despite the stormy skies over the Hamptons on Saturday, stylish moms and their broods were ready to do some serious shopping and playing at the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s 15th annual Super Saturday designer garage sale. Hosted by Donna Karan, Kelly Ripa, Paula Patton and In Style editor Ariel Foxman, the famous benefit is always a major draw for style-setters and their families. With amazing deals from the biggest names in fashion, including Theory, J Brand, Helmut Lang, Diane von Furstenberg and Ralph Lauren, delicious food and kid’s activities, it’s one of the most beloved summer events on the East End. Stylish moms including Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss, Tiffani Thiessen, Gabby Karan, Kyle Richards and June Ambrose all turned out for the fun. Kelly Ripa, who brought her daughter Lola as her date, quickly got in the spirit of the event. “We just bought some great pieces at Milly for my daughter—it was the first booth we hit!” she said as they were sprinting to the next designer booth.
This year, Elizabeth Street joined forces with Lyss Stern from Divalysscious Moms and Sophie and the City author—and Elizabeth Street ambassador—Kelly Florio Kasouf for a way cool mommy and me activity in the Camp Divalyssious tent. In homage to the Sophie and the City book, we set up a paper doll coloring station equipped with crayons and cut-outs of the characters in the book. The dolls were the perfect keepsakes for kids and their families. “The book and the dolls are for future fashionistas in the making!” said celebrity fashion stylist June Ambrose, who sat down to decorate a paper doll with her daughter. Indeed, we can’t think of a better way for a budding designer to channel her inner Donna Karan.
