Along with honoring Independence Day this week, the Obamas also celebrated the 15th birthday of their daughter Malia.
“Happy birthday America (and Malia)! Feeling so blessed to share it with family, friends, and inspiring military families,” posted Michelle Obama on her Instagram.
The first family celebrated the nation’s and Malia’s birthday on the South Lawn of the White House with military personnel and their families. The USO-sponsored event was followed up by an evening of fireworks. Being born on the Fourth of July has its perks.
