MY STYLE: I like to think of my home as a canvas that I fill with collected objects I’ve found over the past twenty years; it’s very timeless. The colour scheme always makes people think of the ocean and the sky, so it really gives you a sense of freedom. Most importantly, my home is livable. I wouldn’t be able to live in a museum. I think my personal style is really classic with a twist. Fashion has to make you happy and I have built my wardrobe around classic pieces that I can mix and match with a bit of eclecticism.

I LOVE LONDON BECAUSE: It is a city filled with opportunity and collects a diverse mixture of people. London allows my children to have the best opportunities in terms of schools, but it’s also an international community, which allows them to mix with other cultures and ethnicities. This is London’s moment right now; it’s really wonderful to be a part of it.

UMU

Umu is a Japanese restaurant London’s Mayfair neighborhood, which creates a special dining experience in the traditional Kyoto style. Low lighting in a beautifully designed space creates a tranquil atmosphere. London regular Sophia Barattieri says Umu “always feels a bit mysterious. It’s where I go when I want a little grown up time.” The menu features the freshest fish, delicious teriake, and exotic vegetables, with stunningly artful presentations. Barattieri calls the spot her favorite Japanese restaurant in all of London. While the full tasting menu experience is a worthwhile special occasion splurge, an a special a la carte lunch menu is also available as a satisfying teaser.

The Natural History Museum

Thanks to a 21st century upgrade, this 130-year-old museum now houses a state-of the-art Darwin Centre. In addition to millions of zoological organisms and botanical specimens, the Natural History Museum excites with its crowd-pleasing display of dinosaur skeletons and, of course, the rare and beloved 8.62 meter-long giant squid, Archie.
