The judge and mentor of NBC’s ‘Fashion Star’ had a Tom Sawyer-themed baby shower.
Songstress, reality TV star, and fashion maven Jessica Simpson is expecting a new baby to add to her growing family. She was initially keeping the sex of the child under wraps but “accidently” let the public know she was having boy on a recent appearance of Jimmy Kimmel Live. This will be her second child with San Francisco 49ers tight end Eric Johnson. She gave birth to her daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson a year ago.
As a judge and mentor NBC’s Fashion Star, designer and head of her own eponymous clothing brand and creator of a line if beauty and hair care products that she sells on the Home Shopping Network, Simpson has her hands full. Though obviously busy, she managed to squeeze in a baby shower to fête her coming baby last Sunday. As People reports, Simpson and celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss threw a Tom Sawyer-themed party. With many of her celebrity friends in attendance—including her baby sis Ashlee—Simpson was showered with presents that any little boy would want. “I’m so excited so to have a son. He got all these cute vintage cars and I got a lot of little leather jackets I can’t wait to try out!”
