Creativity for Kids is giving children the supplies to unleash their creative juices through the Creativity Can. What looks like a collection of unrelated art supplies has the potential to transform into a magical helicopter, a rockstar on a stage, or a couple of goofy looking animals—the possibilities for creating new toys are endless. Included in each can are everything from googly eyes to a felt strip, to pompoms and pipe cleaners, and there’s even a small container of glue to put it all together. Best of all, once children are done with their structures, adults can submit them online and Creativity for Kids will donate to the LilySarahGraceFund, a charity devoted to promoting the arts. The can is free and will be available at select retailers nationwide this spring. Before it hits stores, I took a minute to experiment with the Creativity Can with my children. Check out the results in the slideshow above. It was an evening with little structure that led to lots of fun. And that’s what makes this the new toy of the week. Join us next week as we discover and test out new amazing toys!
