MARTINA COLOMBARI

OCCUPATION: Actress

MY STYLE: I’ve always been an aesthete and I appreciate a variety of styles in my wardrobe. One day I’ll wear Jimmy Choo rocker-style boots, the next I’ll put on something more tailored. Some days I stay completely casual in sweats.

I LOVE MILAN BECAUSE: Raising a child in any modern city is challenging. I think it is important to get the kids outdoors and in nature on the weekends, and Milan provides many opportunities for that.

Armani Nobu

Nobu, a household name in many major cities, is a center for fashionable urban activity in Milan. In conjunction with Armani, whose Casa line elegantly fills the dining room, this worldwide sushi phenomenon is still delightful. (Black cod with miso, beef toban yaki, yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño) We don’t know what is better: the great dishes like black cod with miso, or Nobu’s bar scene.

Pasticceria San Gregorio

Pasticceria San Gregorio serves beautifully decorated Italian pastries, fruit pies, decadent chocolate cakes, and fluffy breakfast breads that kids love. The hot chocolate is good too, but if you’d rather sip something a bit more grown-up, San Gregorio has a full bar.

Museo Civico di Storia Naturale

Established in 1838 to display the private collection of Giuseppe de Cristoforis, this museum remains an essential learning center to the students and visitors of Milan. The museum’s traditional display of fossils and taxidermy are complemented by wonderful, interactive exhibits that change monthly. The museum’s library is a fantastic resource for both academics and enthusiasts.

Giacomo Bistrot

Enjoy French favorites with an Italian accent at Giacomo Bistrot, which is fittingly complete with sepia-tinted photographs and a lovely, painted tile floor. We can’t get enough of the steak tartare, and the strawberry tart tops of the meal with a sweet and fluffly touch. What’s more, this Parisian-style spot is the sister restaurant to Giacomo Arengario’s eponymous restaurant in Centro.

Biffi

This modern boutique designed by architect Gae Aulenti stocks some of our favorite designers, from Christopher Kane and Acne to Roger Vivier and Mulberry. You’re likely to leave with just the thing—and some extras here and there.

Mama Burger

This burger joint somehow manages to evoke Americana charm and trendy nightclub vibes alike (high ceilings, neon, and wrap-around booths. We can’t get enough of the burgers, fries, and home-made icrecream. And the mini burgers are perfect for smaller appetites.

Fay

We love Fay’s combination of sleek sophistication and classic everyday wearability. Jackets and clothing move effortlessly from daytime meetings to drinks with friends, while the brand’s totes are big enough to hold everything you could ever need (diapers and toys included!). We also love the junior collection for its smart, warm coats in adorable, child-appropriate silhouettes.

Giorgio Armani

For decades, Giorgio Armani has been the face of sexy, sophisticated, cutting-edge Italian fashion. Whether it’s his impeccable men’s suits, red carpet-worthy dresses, or top-shelf leather goods, Armani is a modern classic. The boutique on Via Montenapoleone is composed of three floors, stocking everything from fragrances to clothing to made-to-measure Privé jewels.
