On its 26th year, Nickelodeon’s fun-filled Kids’s Choice Awards took place at the Galen Center at USC and was hosted by soon-to-be proud papa Josh Dumal (his wife Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas is expecting their first child). As always, the Kids’ Choice Awards is a night when acting like a child is not only recommended but mandated. Award winners take home a bright orange blimp of a trophy and (more often than not) get poured on with green slime. While presenting Kristen Stewart with her win for favorite movie actress award, Sandra Bullock and How I met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris where dripping with this mucus-colored liquid.
Other note-worthy winners where Selena Gomez, for favorite TV actress for her role in Wizards of Waverly Place, Dwayne Johnson won favorite male buttkicker for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and the teen sensation One Direction were given the blimp for favorite music group. With a sea of children in the audience cheering on their favorite celebs getting slimmed, the night was loud, chaotic and lived up to its reputation as the most fun awards show for children.
