Editors’ Picks: New Kids’ Books

Elizabeth Street editors are all about reading. We’re also all about keeping on top of the upcoming selection of kids’ books before they hit stores. So many books for kids are beloved classics that we remember from childhood and many more are books produced by corporations like Disney featuring already-popular characters and cartoons. For these reasons, we think it’s important to remember to look for the cool new kids’ books that have incredible stories and illustration and are totally novel—in other words, the new classics. Here are five great books for kids that have just been released—or are coming to bookstores very soon. We’re so excited about these new kids’ books and we think you should be too!
