It’s been an eventful week for the A-list. And we’re not just talking Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, whose nuptials are mere days away—allegedly. On Monday, May 19, Kim’s close friend Ciara welcomed her first child with fiancé Future. The musically gifted couple announced the birth of their baby boy on Instagram, posting a photo of his teeny tiny hand with the caption, “FUTURE ZAHIR WILBURN 9lbs 10oz May 19 2014.”
Another couple close to the Kardashian-West clan, Jay Z and Beyoncé, took to Instagram again to show their solidarity. On May 17, two days after publically stating that the family has “worked through” the infamous elevator fight between Solange and hip-hop mogul brother-in-law, Bey, Solange, their mom Tina, Blue Ivy and Jay shared a friendly meal at Café Amelie in New Orleans. Beyoncé rounded off her Instagram tribute to her sister with a portrait from that sunny NOLA afternoon.
And just to ensure that the public recognizes what’s truly worth saying about the power couple, Mr. & Mrs. Carter released the trailer “Run.” Designed to promote their upcoming tour, the short, in which they star as a Bonnie and Clyde-esque couple, is so thrilling fans are actually petitioning for it to be made into a full-length film —not surprising given that the four-minute clip features the considerable talents of Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Blake Lively and Jake Gyllenhaal, to name a few. For our part, we’re thankful that the dust has finally settled and the Knowles-Carter gang can go about their business in (relative) peace.
