Charles River Reservation

Address: Boston, US

The Charles River Reservation is a 20-mile long linear park that stretches from Boston Harbor up the river. Offering a wide array of recreational activities such as athletic fields, bike and running paths, exercise areas, picnic areas, playgrounds, a skating rink, swimming pools, sailing, canoeing and kayaking, and outdoor concert and entertainment spaces, the Charles River Reservation serves as a much-needed open space for nearby urban residents. Jane Schlueter says, “It’s a great place to let the kids run wild and explore. With playgrounds and fields along the pathway, it provides a nice escape from the hustle of the city but without having to go very far.”
