Beauty Rituals Inspired By Marilyn Monroe

As a busy career mom there isn’t a lot of time for extra primping. I can barely squeeze in a mani-pedi once a month. Until recently, I have never been the kind of person to have a beauty ritual, like getting regular facials or skin treatments.

But earlier this year I did a double take when I looked into the mirror. My face had changed overnight. OK, so that maybe a little extreme, but two kids and an extra busy work and social schedule was definitely taking its toll. Thankfully a friend of mine introduced me to the Erno Laszlo Institute in New York City.

The Institute opened in 2012, but Erno Laszlo’s devotees date back to Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo, and was even mentioned in the movie “Annie Hall.” Beyond the in-spa treatments, I am a huge fan of the products (my three must-haves are: Sea Mud Cleansing Bar, The Pre-Cleansing Oil, and the Timeless Skin Serum). Diamonds may be some girls’ best friend, but we’ll take our lotions and potions, thank you very much.
