Celebrity moms and real-life BFFs Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have kept us in stitches since their SNL “Weekend Update” days, so when we heard the duo signed on to host the Golden Globes for the next two years, we were thrilled, but not surprised. Award show hosts tend to be hit or miss, but with this pair at the helm, 19.7 million fans tuned in last year for the broadcast.

Both of these women have had individual career successes on high-profile shows like 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation, but like most BFFs, we think they’re better when they’re together. Tina and Amy are the funniest female twosome in comedy, but they aren’t the only set of famous mom friends in Hollywood.

Beyoncé recently gushed to Us Weekly about her bestie Gwyneth Paltrow, “She’s a great friend on every level. I think for us, protecting our daughters is so important and…keeping things on our own terms, so I will still be protective and make sure [Blue Ivy] has a childhood and a great time.”

And moms Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps have stayed close, even after their Dawson’s Creek days.

But silver screen starlets Reese Witherspoon and Kate Winslet might have our favorite celebrity BFF story. “Imagine my good fortune when Kate Winslet moved into my neighborhood, rang my doorbell and said, ‘Dahling, Sam [Mendes] is off shooting, and I believe our children are the same age,” said Witherspoon of their meeting. “Could they possibly have a playdate, and oh, by the way, it’s almost 9 o’clock and I’ve had nothing to drink, do you have any wine?’”

That sounds like the kind of playdate we’d love to add to our social calendar.
