NBC’s The Voice is back, which means America is once again getting it’s regular dose of Adam Levine. Nothing’s better than dinner and a show, so why not sauce up your weekly viewing with a recipe from the Maroon 5 frontman?
A self-proclaimed “meat-and-potatoes guy,” Levine’s favorite dish is not of the vegetarian variety. “To me, the fattier the cut, the better the steak,” he told Dash magazine. “That’s probably why I love rib eyes—because they are the fattiest steaks you could possibly eat. And the gristle is my favorite part! Everyone thinks gristle is this horrible thing and you should stay away from it. They cut it off. But with the honey added to it, it tastes so good, it should be illegal.”
Here’s how he prepares his signature dish:
Ingredients:
4 rib eye steaks
Marinade:
1 cup Dijon mustard
½ cup honey
Salt, to taste
Generous splash of Worcestershire
Directions:
1.) Mix marinade ingredients in a bowl. Refrigerate, covered, for 30 minutes.
2.) Coat steaks, then grill to your preferred doneness.
