The wife of New York Giants defensive end is promoting education and literacy.
Lauran Tuck has been making great strides in promoting education and literacy for the youth of America. As one of our first street style moms on Elizabeth Street, we had the honor of featuring the chic mama almost a year ago. It was then that she told us about R.U.S.H for Literacy—the charity she runs with her husband, New York Giants defensive end and super bowl champion Justin Tuck.
“My wife Lauran and I started Tuck’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy in 2008 to encourage children to read, understand, succeed, and hope. Tuck’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy is committed to raising funds to donate books and ready materials to support children in the New York, New Jersey, and Central Alabama community. Those are communities that have supported us, and it feels great to be able to give back,” Justin Tuck told People Magazine.
Parents themselves, the Tucks understand how imperative education and literacy is to a child’s success.
“While more affluent children have ample access to summer enrichment programs, low-income youth lack the access to the same resources, leading to summer learning loss,”
