Paris is undeniably a city of classic beauty, which much of its art reflects. After the Mona Lisa and Monet’s water lilies (and the crowds that accompany them), though, you might be in the mood for something a little more modern. The revolutionary, high-tech façade of the Centre Pompidou certainly qualifies, and you’ll find more where that came from indoors. Each year the museum puts on several major exhibitions, which in recent past have featured work by Samuel Beckett, Jean-Luc Godard, and Miró. And it’s always fun to discuss what you’ve seen over croissants in the large courtyard and gathering spot outside.
