It’s not every day that a major new museum opens in New York. But this will be the case tomorrow, when the Museum of Math opens its doors for the first time to a long-awaiting public. The museum, the first of its kind on this continent, will “stimulate inquiry, spark curiosity, and reveal the wonders of mathematics” to number lovers of all ages, not to mention those of us who skew right brain. Many of the exhibits will be hands-on, and thus perfect for boisterous young ones with growing minds. You can still get tickets to the opening weekend, but here is a sneak peak of some of the interiors for those of you who prefer to wait until the crazy, nerdy flurry dies down a bit.
