I distinctly remember the first time I read The Secret Garden. It was magical and wonderful and made me search regularly for forgotten keys. I am so grateful my parents supplied me with all sorts of books throughout my childhood. They opened up worlds of wonder that I am still enjoying today. (Me + Harry Potter = 4Ever.)
Because of my love for reading, my go-to gift of choice when I attend a baby shower is a book or two. But even better than just giving a few books would be throwing a baby shower that revolved around reading. Because as the great, all-knowing Dr. Suess once said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Go baby, go.
