Actor, rapper, and now fashion designer, Jaden Smith is the jack of (almost) all trades. As the son of mega star couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, Jaden has been in the Hollywood limelight since birth. And with sister Willow taking over the Billboard charts with hits like “Whip My Hair” and “I am Me,” the Smiths have been taking over the entertainment industry. But as Wonderland reports, not-so-little Jaden is branching out and starting a clothing line MSFTS.
Jaden is certainly not the first celebrity kid to foray into fashion. Madonna’s daughter Lourdes has had major success with her line Material Girl. And Heidi Klum’s son Johan is now designing clothes for Babies “R” Us. Jaden style is very much in the vein of Maison Martin Margiela and Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent—but for kids, which is what he brings to MSFTS (pronounced Misfits). “It’s kind of black on black. We all really like black, so almost everything in the line is black. Some would call it street goth. I would say it’s a fashion-forward street brand,” Jaden told Wonderland. Though he’s venturing into the sartorial world, his feet are still planted firmly in Hollywood. His new film, with his dad, After Earth will hit theaters this summer.
