“It’s our little escape from the city without leaving the city,” says Jess Teutonico of Carl Schurz Park. Located on the East River between 84th and 90th streets, the quiet, shady Carl Schurz is a nice alternative to nearby Central Park. Children’s activities abound in the warmer months, and a dog-run makes it a great spot for family day.
