With walkways lined with palm trees and luxury shops such as Chanel, Gucci, and Jimmy Choo, the Bal Harbour Shops is quite a different shopping experience from your typical enclosed mall. Since its start in 1965 with 30 retailers including Neiman Marcus, the Bal Harbour Shops have expanded to over 100 stores and is expecting another 40 store additions to accommodate the lengthy wait list of luxury stores looking to bring their business to the upscale retail center. “It has all the luxury brands the world in the most amazing outdoor setting. It’s enjoyable even if you aren’t shopping,” says Sarah Harrelson.
