Leaving aside the commercial circus, Mother’s Day is a pretty great holiday. Not only do we (finally) get a little credit and perhaps some special mom gifts for our daily bending-over-backwards and high-wire juggling acts, but it’s a great excuse to create our own traditions and make memories with those we love the most.
As we celebrate the ways we love our mothers, it warms our hearts to have our own kids prepare a special brunch, string together a macaroni necklace or just put thought and effort into making us as happy (and chore-free) as possible for a day. We asked a group of Elizabeth Street moms to share their favorite Mother’s Day traditions with us. Click through the slideshow to read how these lovely ladies will be spending their special Sunday.
